The design was been carefully considered to fit the client's needs as well as being sympathetic to the traditional Cornish vernacular and surroundings. Using a blend of traditional and modern materials will make the property stand out but respect the Area of Outstanding Natural beauty in which it lies.
During construction we worked with a pre-fabrication company to speed up the construction process of this build. Formulating a design that is efficient but also truly bespoke to the client and site.
Word from the client- Webber Architecture was one of the three firms we considered for our challenging site at Harlyn Bay. In discussions with them they came across as enthusiastic, knowledgeable, approachable, and professional. With the project now completed, we are delighted that we entrusted them with our project.
The site, which we anticipated appropriate for a detached house was challenging in that it was pure sand covered with impenetrable brambles. Jake had to make decisions as to how much sand to take out in order to build a house from an appropriate level without damaging sea views from surrounding properties. We wanted to have some sea views together with maximum sun and by getting the height right together with the aspect, he achieved our aim.
The planning procedure is far from straightforward, but Jake navigated through it with ease, and eventually obtained permission with no onerous conditions.
At all times, we found Jake to be understanding of our requirements, knowledgeable, responsive, flexible and quick to respond to our requests so we can thoroughly recommend him.
