A renovation and extension project to this semi-detached house, located just off Cornwall’s Camel Trail. The introduction of black cedar cladding to the extension creates a subtle but contemporary contrast between old and new. A lower band of red-brick reinforces the materiality of the original houses and creates a strong visual base to the building. The property is extended to the side garden to create a full width open plan kitchen and dining that seamlessly transitions onto the patio and garden.

The long feature window built in to the kitchen provides a complementary aspect out from the extension, framing views onto the garden whilst not compromising kitchen storage space.
