Webber Architecture plans for an outstanding family home on the Cornish Coast in an area just outside of Perranporth. We have worked with the client to create a design which achieves beyond the initial brief, exceeding clients expectations with a design process that is of the highest of quality.

The design seamlessly incorporates flexible and functional spaces with distinct sanctuary qualities within a unique envelope clad with a mix of Black engineering bricks, Natural Cedar cladding and Shou sugi ban timber (charred timber).

The energy approach has been to develop the house within the narrow plot, maximising its fixed orientation. Using a fabric first approach with a simple solar control strategy, maximising natural solar gain, which together minimises overall energy demand. This, alongside modern energy supply, heat recovery and control systems minimise energy in use and provide a highly sustainable building solution.
